The world is a better place because Kawaii style exists. The kawaii movement is widespread, such as Anime creations, Manga comics, Harajuku fashion, and involving handwriting in a childlike styled artworks, but what’s behind the esthetic, and why is it so popular?
The original meaning of “kawaii” is “a radiant face” which refers to the blushing of an embarrassed person. Over time through, the meaning evolved to another phrase “cute” while the way it’s written in the Japanese alphabet to the letter means “able to be loved” – which provides a good basis; amateur psychologists say.
So, no wonder, I couldn’t resist either.
