The world’s first Hello Kitty obstetrician has opened in Taiwan. They made a hospital, in collaboration with Sanrio. They turned everything into kawaii in the hospital, for psychological purposes. In this case, they have created the world’s first kawaii hospital, specialized in maternity.
The lovely kawaii cat provides a stress-free environment and easier birth for the moms. In a thirty-bed hospital, it is all about giant kawaii kittens, with Hello Kitty patterns on the bedding, on the wall of the birthing room, the dressing gown, the kids ‘blanket, and even the nurses’ apron.
At the entrance, a Hello Kitty welcomes the baby in a huge medical uniform. Even the birth certificate has a Hello Kitty pattern.
It Took a $ 3 Million Investment to Create Hello Kitty Hospital
Hospital director Tsai Tsung-chi said, the big, furry cat relieves stress in pregnant women and drives away the worries around childbirth. He thinks Kitty will make everyone smile and help her recover. Tsai Tsung-chi opened the hospital with a $ 3 million investment, the idea came from his family, because they are all big Hello Kitty fans.
“I would say I like Hello Kitty, but I would not be happy to give birth here, especially to a boy, because everything is pink.”
However, because of the baby boys on the way, they even created a boy version of Hello Kitty. This is still a little bit unclear anyway, he has a blue dress and no headband. But the mom with a baby boy pointed out the benefits of this cute, pink and very kawaii environment. It is better than a sterile, inclement, full white average hospital. Which is understandable.
